I was born and raised in Stow, Ohio the youngest of four children. I began taking dance lessons when I was three because my mom realized while my older siblings were onstage for their dance recital, I was in the aisles of the theatre dancing too! Beyond dance lessons, as a family we always sang together, usually with butter knives in our hands for microphones! I often imagined us “The Family von Beck’s,” because after I saw the Sound of Music for the first time I was convinced we, too, could become a world renowned singing family. That dream would never be, but I discovered other dreams that I could follow.

I moved to New York City and have made my home here for over 10 years. In that time I had an unexpected opportunity to live and work in Asia and I met so many wonderful people. It was an amazing time and I grew so much as a person. I know that my experiences there have enriched my artist life. I have also been fortunate to be cast all over the country and to meet and work with so many amazing people. I look forward to my next opportunity to meet new people, experience another slice of life, and stand on a stage embodying a character and giving back to people who often just need a place to laugh, cry and feel surrounded by other people who are there for the same thing.

Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment. ~Buddha
